What is house music?

House is a style of electronic dance music that originated in Chicago, Illinois, USA in the early 1980s. It was initially popularized in mid-1980s discothèques catering to the African-American,[1] and Latino American [1] communities; first in Chicago, then in Detroit, New York City, New Jersey, and Miami. It then reached Europe before becoming infused in mainstream pop and dance music worldwide since the early to mid-1990s.

House is strongly influenced by elements of soul- and funk-infused varieties of disco. House generally mimics disco’s percussion, especially the use of a prominent bass drum on every beat, but may feature a prominent synthesizer bassline, electronic drums, electronic effects, funk and pop samples, and reverb- or delay-enhanced vocals.

Ø          Deposit to reserve the facility.

Ø          Require two weeks advance notice.

Ø          Prices do not include Gratuity on food and bar.

Open or Cash Bar:

Cocktail service available for all your mixed drinks, beer or wine.

All rail and call drinks, foreign, domestic beer and wine are available.

There will be a minimum charge for bartender fees on cash bar for the first three hours,

any additional hours per hour/per bartender.

Thanks for visiting  Shanna Melissa Taylor’s Avon Walk page. I’ve committed to participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. It’s a big commitment, one that will require me to spend the next several months training and fundraising. But breast cancer is a big disease, one that still affects far too many people, and I’m determined to do everything I can to help put an end to it. The money I raise will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to help provide access to care for those that most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures. I’ll be just one of thousands of people that will walk up to a marathon and a half over a weekend, raising awareness of the cause and educating even more people.

I can’t do it without your help. Though I’m required to raise at least $1,800 in donation, I plan to raise much more!

My inspirations to succeed!!

I have wanted to participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer for a long time. I wanted to honor my best friends Grandma who lost the battle in 1999; my a close family friend whom is an inspiration to me she beat it and is now helping to inspire others with cancer to thrive to survive and not give in and lastly the final push was when a coworker of mine’s mother was diagnosed recently I wanted to show my support to her and her family.
